Family Tradition
We are a family owned restaurant on the Outer Banks that has been catering since 1990. We have been at our current location in Currituck county since 2004, making many, many upgrades to our restaurant that was once a country store and home to the Helms family of Jarvisburg, NC. We keep the heritage of Currituck’s “Sportsman’s Paradise” with our ducks and fishing decor, and our private dining room we call the Currituck room. BJ was a Hunting guide and fisherman (among many other things) until he decided to put his culinary experience to use in a permanent location.
Southern Comfort
Since then we have diversified our menu to be based around a steak and seafood base, while still offering our beloved BBQ Fried chicken and Ribs. The restaurant has been run and operated by Benjamin Beasley, BJ’s son, since 2014. Benjamin has focused on being a center of the community with a more social atmosphere, by having live music on Wednesdays, and weekly cornhole tournaments. Locals and tourists alike enjoy the casual atmosphere where you always feel like family. So come on in and join BJ and the family for some good times and great food!
The prime rib is excellent. Chicken wings are out of this world. Crab cakes quite good. Fried flounder is top shelf. We were all too full for dessert, but it looked quite yummy and I’m told that the banana pudding is to die for!

My family for the first time ever decided to change things up and go out for Thanksgiving. The buffet was wonderful and fresh and nice a hot. The staff was so attentive and friendly. I would recommend to anyone!

Stop in for brunch leaving OBX. amazing food and service. The wings are amazing and French dip prime rib sandwich was good but missing the provolone to make it official. I look forward to stopping in again.
